On December 8, 2021, Luobu was shut down indefinitely. Development live-streams and contests are hosted on the account. Roblox owns an account on Bilibili, a Chinese video-sharing website similar to YouTube.
Roblox's Chinese website explained that the release of the platform would focus heavily on collaborations with schools and educators, and it was touted as a potential educational tool for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students. A Chinese version of Roblox Studio was downloadable prior to this. Luobu was released as a mobile app for iOS and Android on July 13, 2021, alongside the official release of the Nezha Obby Event. Luobu (Simplified Chinese: 罗布乐思 Luóbùlèsī officially shortened to Luobu ), also known as Roblox China, was the Mainland China version of Roblox.
Upon entering, users would be redirected to the login page of LuoBu.
